MELVILLE, N.Y., Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, today announced a major expansion of its renowned imagePROGRAF TX and TM lines. The launch introduces 12 new devices designed for architecture, engineering, construction, retail, education, and other light graphics applications, including seven new 5-color pigment ink models in the TM series and five high-productivity solutions in the TX series.

The additions to the TM series lineup — TM-615, TM-610M, TM-610, TM-600, TM-510M, TM-510 and TM-500 — feature a compact body and comfortable operability for a wide range of print and scan needs, from digitizing and copying architectural and design drawings to producing posters for retail displays, restaurants and school bulletin boards. The lineup includes two new MFP models, the TM-610M (printing up to 36 inches) and TM-510M (printing up to 24 inches), marking the first time the imagePROGRAF TM series has offered models with a built-in large-format scanner.

The TM-610M and TM-510M models integrate a printer and large-format scanner in a compact footprint comparable to the series’ printer-only models,[1] with a flat-top design to make it easy to load large documents from above. The scanner offers stable, high-precision reading, and uses light sources on both sides of the sensor to reduce shadows and uneven brightness caused by creases or wrinkles in the original document. Preset functions let users select document types from the operation panel to automatically apply the most suitable scan mode, which reproduces crisp lines and text in CAD drawings, accurate color in drawings and maps, and clean black-and-white copies of blueprints with reduced color fading from sun exposure. Both models include the 5-inch touchscreen used across Canon’s multifunction copiers, complete with customizable menus to fit specific business needs. This helps ensure a short learning curve and allow      current office copier users to quickly adapt to Canon large format MFPs.

Every new model in the TM lineup also features a newly developed matte black ink with enhanced black density, to produce deep, crisp fine lines and small text in technical drawings, while enabling vivid color reproduction for poster output — even on plain paper. The TM-610M and TM-510M scan at speeds of up to 5 inches per second in color and 10 inches per second in monochrome, while print speeds reach up to 2.7 D-size prints per minute on the TM-600 and up to 3.2 D-size prints per minute on the TM-610, TM-610M and TM-615.

The additions to the TX series lineup — TX-4310 MFP Z36, TX-4300, TX-3310 MFP Z36, TX-3300 and TX-1300 MFP Z36 — include two printer-only solutions, such as the TX-4300 for printing up to 44 inches, and three MFP solutions that pair a large-format printer with an integrated large-format scanner,[2] including the TX-1300 MFP Z36 for printing up to 36 inches. Designed for the high-productivity demands of construction, design and manufacturing operations, the series streamlines high-volume drawing output and, with the MFP models, document digitization and copying. The TX-4310 MFP Z36, TX-4300, TX-3310 MFP Z36 and TX-3300 models feature a newly developed basket      designed to neatly stack large sets of drawings, up to ARCH E size, face-down while maintaining print order,[3] so finished drawings can be removed in a natural posture without the need to rearrange or align them, along with high-speed printing of up to 3.3 sheets[4] per minute for high-volume drawing output. These models also include a Smart Roll Paper Set function that automatically detects paper type, estimates the amount of roll paper remaining, and begins feeding as soon as the roll is placed in the device, along with an optional double-roll feed mechanism[5] that enables continuous printing on the same roll or switching between rolls of different sizes and types.

The TX-4310 MFP Z36, TX-3310 MFP Z36 and TX-1300 MFP Z36 models are equipped with a 15.6-inch monitor for intuitive scanning and copying, allowing users to review scanned images and make real-time edits, such as color correction, brightness, skew correction and a variety of others, on the spot without needing to rescan the document. The scanner operates independently of the printer, so users can scan a new document while a previous scan is being copied or print office documents from a computer while the scanner is in use, helping to improve overall workflow efficiency. Both the new TM and TX series support Chromebook compatibility, with Mopria-certified mobile printing available on the new TM models. Like the TM series, all new TX models use a newly developed matte black ink with enhanced black density, for high-resolution drawing output with sharp, legible fine lines and small text.

Both the TM and TX series reflect Canon’s Kyosei philosophy of environmental responsibility. TM series units use recycled steel for approximately 5% of the steel in the main body and recycled resin for approximately 25% of the resin used,[6] and both the TM and TX series’ packaging replaces polystyrene foam with corrugated cardboard.
