The jersey carries the first Gold MLB Logoman ever worn in an official MLB game. Introduced by MLB in 2025, the Gold Logoman patch is worn by the previous season’s MVP, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year winners, and Ohtani was in the first class of players to wear it following his 2024 National League MVP season.
